Focus
Also called: Concentration
How do you stay focused playing pool?
Focus in pool is keeping full attention on the current shot — its line, speed and routine — and letting go between shots. Good players switch focus on when they step into the shot and relax it while waiting.
In more detail
Constant concentration for a whole match is impossible. Use a 'switch on' trigger (for example chalking) at the start of your routine, and a 'switch off' habit while the opponent shoots.
People also ask
Why do I lose focus on easy shots?
Easy shots feel safe, so attention drifts to the next shot. Treat every shot with the same full routine.
