Spot shot
How do you make the spot shot in pool?
The spot shot is cutting an object ball on the foot spot into a corner pocket with ball in hand behind the head string. It is a standard benchmark because the setup is identical on every table.
In more detail
It is often a shot after a spotted ball or a foul in certain games. Set a consistent cue ball position near the head string, find your favourite angle and repeat until your make rate is measurable.
People also ask
Where should I place the cue ball for the spot shot?
Many players use a spot a few inches off the long string near the head string, leaving a moderate cut. Choose one spot and use it every time.
