Vision center

Also called: Dominant eye, Eye dominance

Which eye should be over the cue in pool?

Your vision center is the point between or near your eyes where you naturally see a straight line. Placing the cue under your vision center (often closer to the dominant eye) makes the shot line look straight when it actually is.

In more detail

If your head is not lined up with your vision center, straight-in shots will look straight but miss consistently to one side. Test by setting up on a straight line and moving your head slightly left or right until it looks truly straight.

People also ask

How do I find my dominant eye?

Make a small triangle with your hands, look through it at a distant object, then close each eye. The eye that still sees the object is dominant.
