Visualization
Also called: Mental rehearsal
Does visualization help in pool?
Visualization is picturing the shot before you play it — the cue ball path, the object ball dropping and the position you will get. It programmes the intended outcome and is part of a strong pre-shot routine.
In more detail
See the whole shot, including speed and where the cue ball stops. Away from the table, mental rehearsal of your routine helps you stay consistent under pressure.
People also ask
When should I visualize the shot?
While standing behind it, before you get down — then commit and execute without re-thinking.
Train it at the table
