Back cut
What is a back cut in pool?
A back cut is a cut shot where the cue ball travels back toward the pocket's side of the table — the object ball is cut 'backward' relative to how you are standing. It is visually harder because you shoot away from the pocket.
In more detail
Back cuts are often missed because the pocket is outside your vision while aiming. Aim from the ghost ball, not the pocket, and practise them specifically.

How do I practise back cuts?
Set a ball near the rail and the cue ball past it, so you cut back toward the corner. Repeat from three angles and log your success rate.
