Combination shot

What is a combination shot in pool?

A combination shot is when the cue ball hits one object ball into another to pot the second ball. In 9-ball, a combination using the lowest ball first is a classic way to pot the 9 early.

Aim the second ball's ghost-ball position with the first ball. Throw grows on combinations, especially when balls are close or frozen, so play them softly only if you know the throw.
