Handicap
Also called: Skill level, Rating, Fargo rate
How do pool handicaps work?
A handicap evens matches between players of different strengths — by changing the race length, giving balls (e.g. weaker player wins on the 8 too) or using a rating system such as league skill levels or FargoRate.
In more detail
A rating is also a useful progress indicator, but it reflects match results, not training quality. For practice, track drill scores to see improvement earlier.
People also ask
How can I find my pool skill level?
Use a structured self-assessment and benchmark drills, then compare over weeks. League ratings come from match results.
