What does race to 7 mean in pool?
A race is a match format where the first player to win a set number of racks wins — for example a race to 7. 'Hill-hill' means both players need one more rack.
In more detail
Races change how you manage risk: in a short race, one mistake costs more, so safeties gain value. Practising 'pressure racks' at hill-hill mimics the end of a race.
