Inside english
What is inside english?
Inside english is sidespin on the same side as the direction of the cut — right english on a cut to the right. It throws the object ball toward the outside of the cut, so it is generally harder to pot with than outside english.
In more detail
Combined with squirt and swerve, inside english adds several small errors at once, which is why many players avoid it on precise shots unless position demands it.
People also ask
Why do I miss more with inside english?
Squirt pushes the cue ball one way and throw moves the object ball another; on many shots they do not cancel. Practise inside english shots specifically if you need them.
