Kick shot
Also called: Kick
What is a kick shot in pool?
A kick shot sends the cue ball off one or more cushions before it contacts the object ball. It is used when you are snookered or as a safety, and it relies on the mirror method and diamond systems to find the aim point.
In more detail
Kicking well is mainly about hitting the ball at all, legally. Aim for a fuller contact at medium speed, then choose where the object ball goes — a safe kick is worth more than a hopeful pot.

How do you aim a one-rail kick?
Use the mirror point: the spot on the cushion where the line from the cue ball to the object ball's reflection crosses the rail.
