Practice routine
Also called: Practice plan, Training plan
What is a good pool practice routine?
A practice routine is a planned sequence for each session — usually a stroke warm-up, one or two skill drills, and a pressure or game test — repeated over weeks so improvement can be measured.
Step by step
- 110 minutes: stroke warm-up (straight-line and stop shots).
- 220–30 minutes: your main weakness drill with scores.
- 315–20 minutes: position or pattern drill.
- 410–15 minutes: pressure test — a ghost rack or a 'must-make' drill.
- 52 minutes: log scores and notes.
In more detail
Split time roughly between fundamentals, the main weakness and application in racks. Keep it the same for a few weeks before changing it, so your numbers mean something.
