Run out
Also called: Runout, Running the table, Table run
How do you run out in 8-ball?
A run out is pocketing all the balls you need in one turn at the table to win the rack. It requires a planned pattern, solved problem balls and consistent position — not just potting.
In more detail
Most failed runs fail in the planning, not the potting. Decide before the first shot whether the table is runnable; if not, play a safety that solves the problem first.
